After being in the studio, ToyMachine! is BACK to release their new album sometime in the summer.
On February 25, 2023, the band released their final single of the year, We Want Sludge.. Since then, the band hasn’t released any new music.
ToyMachine! spent most of 2023 writing new music and playing shows throughout New Jersey and New York in preparation for the new album. The band also dropped new merch on their website and regular content on their YouTube & Instagram channels.
“We like to test our new material live and get the crowd's reaction. That’s how we know which songs to record. It’s simple: if we like it, and the immediate fans and culture like it, so can the world,” guitarist Ryan Lamon says.
The band released new music videos at the beginning of 2023 for songs such as Lower East Sludge (L.E.S.) and Party and Bullshit. There was also a seven-minute vlog (Sludge Album Sessions) where the band showed themselves recording at the Burn Room.
According to the Sludge Album Sessions description, the band has not one but THREE albums in the works.
ToyMachine! released an Instagram reel on January 18, 2024, showing the band playing live and announcing the new album. The album is a mix of Grunge, Punk, and Hip-Hop styles the band has been experimenting with since forming in early 2020, with the release of Flatline—the band's first song ever released.
ToyMachine! played multiple songs from the upcoming album at numerous shows. Over time, short reels were posted on Instagram, teasing the project.
Ray Bentley (vocalist) has also ventured into his solo rap project, releasing six singles: Hide In The Mansion, Digi Cash, World War 4, Virtual Cemetery, Whatever 2x (Brain Chip), and Toxic President. Working with Ukrainian producer Baidy, Ray’s side project embraces melodic trap and hip-hop tropes with catchy hooks, melodically dark beats, and auto-tuned vocals, going down a different lane from ToyMachine!.
Ray has been heavily promoting these singles on his TikTok, along with various visuals and lyric videos for his new solo venture. If you're craving new music before the release of the new album, listen to Toxic President, his latest single.
Ryan Lamon (guitarist) is excited to announce the album and new music videos as the project nears a release date. Merch will also drop, and a tour will follow when the album is released.
STAY SLUDGY!!!
